Col Neate | Nominee Licenced Builder | Owner

As the Director of Neater Homes, Col is committed to delivering a range of unique design solutions through to luxury breathtaking homes. Col has a personal sense of pride in all of the homes he designs and builds. His hands on  approach involves him in every aspect of the building business and as such, has brought together a team of dedicated people to share in his vision. For Col and his team, designing and building desirable homes that enhance our lifestyle and environment, is more than just a profession, it is an all-encompassing passion.

Leilah Farahat | Commercial Manager

Leilah's position is Commercial Manager for the Neater Group. The position involves the responsibility for the financial management of all projects, working with the estimating team putting together bids for new work, preparing, negotiating and agreeing contracts and ensuring conformance of suppliers and subcontractors. Leilah is responsible for procurement and monitoring operational works, dispute resolution and ultimately the satisfaction of all clients.


Andrew Jehne | Architectural Technician

Andrew has worked in the building and construction industry for over twenty years. He has accumulated experience in many construction techniques in both commercial and residential construction. As draftsperson and designer, Andrew has been responsible for the attention to detail, ensuring accuracy with documentation and compliance to the National Construction Codes and Australian Standards. Having started on AutoCAD in the mid nineties, Andrew has spent the last decade using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software such as Revit. This enables, you, the client, to visualize all aspects of the design through 3D modelling and rendering. 


Daniel Jahnsen | Senior Estimator

Daniel provides comprehensive commercial and residential building estimations for all our building projects across Cairns and Far North Queensland. His vast experience in both commercial and residential sectors allows both clients, suppliers and sub-contractors confidence that all aspects of a project have been accounted for. He takes into account the direct and indirect costs associated with a building project, ensuring your estimation is precisely calculated.

Margot Berridge | Financial Controller

Margot is the company's Financial Controller and is very careful with your money. She is a senior-level executive who acts as the head of accounting and oversses the preparation of progress claims and financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements. In addition to preparing reports, the controllers responsibilities include compliance audits, monitoring internal controls, participating in the budgeting process and analysing financial data to varying degrees. You might say the buck stops with Margot.


Darren Kingston | Construction Supervisor

Darren has extensive experience in the supervision of various construction projects.  Having a good working knowledge on the industry, Darren manages our selected team of tradespeople and co-ordinates external trades as required, ensuring your home is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality finish that you expect from a Neater Home.  Darren is licenced under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission as a low rise builder and professional trade contractor.  He is very approachable and instinctively works with you to ensure your home is built to the highest Australian standard ensuring your dream goes to plan.

Patty Colette | Contracts Administrator

Patty is a skilled Contract Administrator with 11 years' experience in the Housing and Construction Industry. Patty is familiar with several software management systems including Databuild, Outlook, Microsoft, Pages and Excel. Patty's key responsibilities are to facilitate new contract documentation, procurement of construction materials and trade contractors. This involves the engagement of specialist contractors, including geotechnical and structural engineers, architects, surveyors for advice on contour and identification surveys and Local Government Authorities.
